If you have problems with the audio, a simple solution is to run the Windows Troubleshooter.
Sometime you can get excessive CPU when media sharing is on.
This might be caused by a corrupt file.
Now this a hopeless case to investigated.
I never tried this but maybe the Resource Monitor can help you.
Disable sharing and enable it.
Watch the Disk in the Overview tab.
All your media files will pass by.
Maybe one will stuck and causes excessive I/O or CPU.
